After my last painting went down the drain after I screwed it up, I’ve been too busy to attempt to start a new one, but I finally started drawing a new one out today.

It isn’t going to be in the style in C215 per se, but it’ll definitely be inspired by him. I’ve been really studying his work and he rarely uses large shapes to make up his subjects. Instead there’s a lot of smaller shapes that make up one large object. I think I’ll find more success following that idea. I tend to use larger shapes; the stencils come out floppy, fragile and sometimes I end up with Ismuses (Ismi?) of paper that are unwieldy when I’m handling the stencil.

Should be interesting to see the results.
